What would life be like, if not all that walked were living? Perhaps the horrific and unusual is not as farfetched as it seems. Sure – there will always be skeptics. A werewolf could shapeshift right in front of their very eyes, and they still wouldn’t believe in lychans until it lifted its leg and peed on their shoes. Perhaps, however, said lychan had a bit more shame than to relieve itself on the lower half of a mortal… You’d walk right passed them and never know. To survive in this kind of environment, it’s a rule of thumb to simply assume everyone is a skeptic. Humans are both a delicacy and a threat. While the hunters of the night may find the singular lusty female an easy kill in a dark club, there are the random knock-off stores that sell the proper tools to defend ones self. Of course, skepticism comes into play once more, with 90% of the population viewing such things as useless junk. The other 10%? They turn the Hunter into the Hunted. Vampires and werewolves aren’t the only thing alive in the world, of course. Such an assumption is simply ignorant. But again, who’s to say what’s real and what isn’t? And more importantly… is it worth taking the risk to find out?
