Welcome to Prismatic! I’m thrilled that you’ve decided to join the forum, and promise you that you’re in for a great and unique Roleplay experience. Very few – if any! – websites offer you the freedom that we do. But before you dive in to what we have to offer, please take the time to read these simple rules, and take equal care in following them.
- 1. No Flaming, Baiting or Trolling
Keep the Golden Rule in mind. If you wouldn’t like something done to you, then it shouldn’t be done to another person. This rule also applies to harassing someone, either in character or out of character. “In character harassing” does not mean you RP your character picking on another; this means that, despite the other person telling you not to post in their threads, and that they do not want to RP with you, you continue to post and follow them around like a lost puppy. If someone doesn’t want to RP with you, please respect their wishes. - 2.No Spamming
If you have to spam, please do so in the proper forum. Otherwise, please keep all posts on topic, and don't post in the IC threads unless you plan on doing some roleplaying in there. - 3. Keep it Kid Friendly
I’m hoping that Prismatic will one day grow large enough to have members of all ages. Therefore, posts should keep roughly in the PG-13 rating. Anything extremely graphic in violence should have a clear warning. Sexually explicit posts should be posted in the Mature Forum – a password protected board to hide those kind of posts from eyes that shouldn’t see it. If you do see an RP leaning in that direction, please post an oh-so-convenient ‘fade out’ sequence then continue as you wish. Posts, either In Character or Out Of Character, that do not abide by this rule may be deleted without notice, and disciplinary action may be taken upon the member if it becomes a habit.
- 4. Advertising
If you’ve developed your own website, or are part of another and looking to recruit, great! However, please restrict any advertisement to the proper forum. Threads and posts trying to recruit members to other websites will be moved without notice, or deleted completely if the problem persists. - 5. Always in Motion!
It is possible for certain rules and restrictions, or even passwords, to change suddenly, like the ‘oolala’ needed to access a certain board. However, any major changes will be noted in our Announcements. Please make sure to check the updates so you stay informed with anything going on! - 6. Image Restrictions
Be considerate of those with slower connections. Avatars must be no bigger than 100 x 100. Signatures must be no larger than 500 x 300. Signatures that exceed those dimensions will be removed. - 7. Have Fun!
Without it, you aren’t going to be on here for long ;)
